Another great show from the mcmanus brothers,again repeating myself as a 3 piece these were untouchable amazing musicians with some great songs...just listen to "belfast city blues" and hear one of the greatest guitarists to come out of this era...fantastic stuff...This was the first of a 3 night stint at the marquee for the brothers and they destroyed the place on each night.... this was the only show i recorded as  the other 2 nights was spent up the front with my air guitar and stack.... feck i love this band....enjoy ed

As I have just posted the official bootleg album I thought I would follow it up with another great gig they did at the marquee...the memories I have of this show were...outside there was about 30 foot of snow (ok slight exaggeration but it was snowing and feckin' cold) but in true rock n roll attitude I still made my way up to London for the gig but afterwards all trains had been cancelled so my night was spent at Euston station amongst the homeless and alcoholics until the first train available in the morning..... happy days...enjoy ed

Absolutely brilliant album...A few month's ago I tried to find this online but with no luck so I dusted off my vinyl copy and gave it to a buddy to transfer (cheers tom) and here it is...A must listen for any mamas boy's fans out there who have not had a chance to listen to their early material...enjoy ed

I always enjoyed reading festival during the early 80's with a lot of the bands being of a rock nature,this year was no exception and for me mamas boys were one the bands of the weekend..having seen them a few times already I was familiar with the set and they always put on a great show...enjoy ed

Without doubt one of my favourite bands from back then...I was fortunate enough to see them many times and I always went away with a smile on my face...you will hear this many times on this blog.. mamas boys should of been massive!.
city hall was an ok venue quite easy to record from although it was not really designed for rock shows....good recording.
