I've said it before and will keep on saying it,This era of lizzy was the best...they were playing amazing together and they had made their best album by far....Having witnessed them many times on this tour it still brings a smile to my face when i listen to an '83 show.....This is a recording i got in a trade way back in the day and i have had a look around to see if it was out there but cannot find it so hopefully it's new to you all..... enjoy ed

ok..now everyone has the hitchin gig radio broadcast well this is the audience recording of the whole show including the four tracks that were not broadcast.they played are you ready & waitin for an alibi while the bbc camera's were being set up and emerald & baby drives me crazy when the filming had stopped also here is the full soundcheck for those who like everything by lizzy.enjoy ed

By '83 I had started to cross the channel with some friends to go see some festivals and this was one of them... at the time we did not know this would be their 2nd to last gig (we also went to Nuremburg ,the next day..THE last ever gig with phil) and it nearly didn't happen because scott got caught up in traffic and didn't arrive till the last seconds before showtime..
I never really enjoyed recording festivals because of the wind,rain etc and the fact that the toilets were normally a mile away...also I never really knew what the security would be like ... it would take me ages to sticky tape all the cassettes to the inside of my jacket.. and you do not want to know where I hid my Walkman!!!! anyway I'm glad I did record this and from memory I do not think I ever traded this show back then so quite possibly this could be the first time it's been up.....
