At last I have put a blog together with the idea of sharing recordings and thoughts of what for me was the best period for music...THE 80'S.... I was fortunate enough to see many bands up and down the country during this period and thankfully I managed to record and trade many shows that i have now transferred. Feel free to correct me on any mistakes I may of made regards to venues song titles etc etc ...it was a long time ago... cheers ed....
These recordings...
All the recordings I post here will be what I think are VG+(B/B+) quality and unless stated otherwise will be audience recordings. They will not be to everyone's taste but the idea is to give fellow music fans a chance to hear rare recordings from a certain era(the 80's).Many of these I have had stored away for 30+ years and will be available for the first time...
If it's soundboard A+ quality you are after these will not be for you...BUT I would never post anything that was unlistenable.. So pop the headphones on and grab your air guitar of choice... lets ROCK

another great show from d/h,it was only a couple of years before I had seen them play hammersmith and like many people thought they would go onto arena's and stadiums but unfortunately not..here they are back at the marquee in front of a few hundred fans on a very hot night... I thought my Walkman was going to melt.... fantastic night....
I remember this gig, I was there, that hot sweaty sticky night. They had a massive overhaul of their sound and direction after Borrowed time, and I think many of their fans weren't that keen on it. I for one, loved Canterbury.
ReplyDeleteI only saw them twice, once in December 82 and this gig here, excellent to hear this, cheers!
nice one reg.... great gig I also have the 2 shows they played earlier on in the year at the marquee which I will post soon..i agree Canterbury is a great album...
ReplyDeletecheers
