At last I have put a blog together with the idea of sharing recordings and thoughts of what for me was the best period for music...THE 80'S.... I was fortunate enough to see many bands up and down the country during this period and thankfully I managed to record and trade many shows that i have now transferred. Feel free to correct me on any mistakes I may of made regards to venues song titles etc etc ...it was a long time ago... cheers ed....
These recordings...
All the recordings I post here will be what I think are VG+(B/B+) quality and unless stated otherwise will be audience recordings. They will not be to everyone's taste but the idea is to give fellow music fans a chance to hear rare recordings from a certain era(the 80's).Many of these I have had stored away for 30+ years and will be available for the first time...
If it's soundboard A+ quality you are after these will not be for you...BUT I would never post anything that was unlistenable.. So pop the headphones on and grab your air guitar of choice... lets ROCK

Every once in a while there is a band that comes along that just blows you away, for me it was this lot back in '82,i loved everything about them.I even became an official SMF member (how sad was that) but I didn't care back then.. I was just swept along with TS fever and on their later tours I would follow them up and down the country and even across to Europe where on occasion they would come to chat to us in our vw camper van....real rock n roll ha ha.
I was fortunate enough to catch all their marquee gigs in '82 & '83 and here are 3 of them without doubt some of the best gigs I ever went to at that little sweat hole just thinking about them after all these years makes me want to pull out ruff cuts and give it a blast.....which I am going to do now. enjoy ed
Cheers Ed I've just downloaded most of your shows.
ReplyDeleteSome pure gold there.
Lots of bands I haven't heard any live stuff of.
Rox and Savage spring to mind.
And good to get more Lizzy,Scorps,Nugent,Ozzy etc etc.
Yeah Twisted Sister were something else when they first appeared.
We used to listen to It's Only Rock n Roll from the I Am I'm Me 12" over and over.
We'd never heard anything like it.
So thanks again to you for never throwing out your tapes!!
